1. Dr. Suess' How The Grinch Stole Christmas (2000)
This is our family favorite Christmas movie as I am sure it is for many families! You can’t skip this one! We typically watch it every year. Dr. Suess’ How The Grinch Stole Christmas is about a misfit in Whoville. He was delivered to the wrong family and is bullied as a child. The Grinch runs away and several years later returns to Whoville for revenge.

2. How The Grinch Stole Christmas! (1966)
How The Grinch Stole Christmas! is the original cartoon TV movie. This classic animated version is always fun to watch. It is only 26 minutes long so it would be a quick watch if that is what you are looking for!

4. Elf
Elf is another cult classic and family favorite for many! If you haven’t seen it, Elf is about a baby that was found and raised by elves at the North Pole. When Buddy is an adult and starts really standing out, papa elf tells him the truth about his identity. Buddy travels to New York City to find his real family and gets himself into all kinds of funny situations.

5. A Charlie Brown Christmas
A Charlie Brown Christmas, a true classic, is a movie that we watch every single year. Since 1965 A Charlie Brown Christmas has been a tradition for families and it always gives me the warm fuzzies. In this animated film, Charlie Brown is over the commercialism of Christmas and wants to find something deeper. His friends help him to see the true meaning of the Holiday.

7. The Year Without a Santa Claus
When Santa wakes up with a cold, his doctor convinces him to focus on self care and make some lifestyle changes. Instead of delivering presents on Christmas Eve, Santa decides to go on vacation. Mrs. Claus enlists the help of some elves to change his mind.

10. Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer
Rudolph the reindeer was made fun of by his peers or his bright red nose. When Christmas Eve ends up being too foggy for Santa to guide his sleigh, Rudolph’s shiny red nose ends up saving the day by casting enough light for Santa to see.

12. Klaus
When the post master’s son proves himself unfit after failing out of the academy, he is sent off to a remote village to bring the post office back to life. When he discovers the whole town is stuck in a generations long battle, he realizes he’s got his hands full. With the help of a few determined allies, he just might be able to pull it off.

13. Noelle
This is one of my new favorite Christmas movies! Noelle, the daughter of Mr. Clause, is on a mission to bring her brother, Nick, who has run away, back to the North Pole to take on his role as Santa. With Nick’s absence things have gotten a little sticky at the North Pole and its up to Noelle to save Christmas!

14. Home Alone
The McCallisters are headed to Paris on vacation but Kevin gets accidentally left behind! When a couple of conmen plan to rob the McCallister home, Kevin has no choice but to protect it himself! He comes face to face with the criminals but much to their surprise, Kevin has quite a few tricks up his sleeve.

15. Home Alone 2
Another year, another vacation. The McCallister family is on their way to Florida, but yet again, Kevin ends up separated and on the wrong plane! When he winds up in New York and back at it again with the same criminals, he takes it upon himself to save Christmas for an elderly shop owner!

17. A Boy Called Christmas
When young Nikolas’ father goes off on a quest to discover Elfhelm, leaving him with his putrid Aunt Carlotta, Nikolas decides to leave home to find him. With his pet mouse at his side, Nikolas stumbles across Elfhelm and is determined to bring back a sparkle of hope to the King and prove that magic is real.

18. The Santa Clause
Scott Calvin and his son, Charlie, set off for the North Pole when Santa falls off of their roof and they learn that the Santa suit now belongs to Scott! When they get to the North Pole they are met by an Elf, Bernard, who explains all of the logistics. Charlie falls in love with the North Pole and all of the elves but when he has to leave and go back to his mom’s he encounters some issues with his peers who don’t believe. Including his mom and step-dad.

21. The Santa Clauses
The Santa Clauses is actually a mini series but a sequel to The Santa Clause. In this mini series, Scott Calvin realizes he is getting older and wont be able to keep up the Santa role forever. He decides its best to get ahead of the game and work on a replacement, however, his plan doesn’t go well and the North Pole ends up in trouble.

27. Arthur Christmas
Santa’s son Arthur is in charge of Santa letters. When he sees that a letter was missed and realizes that one little girl isn’t going to get a Christmas present, he sets off to deliver it himself with his Grandsanta. Arthur has to race against the clock to make sure no little kid is left behind on Christmas!

29. An Elf's Story
This movie is great for kiddos who have an Elf on the Shelf! It is a story of an Elf on the Shelf’s child assignment! Chippy the elf is assigned a rather challenging job this Christmas. The child who he is tasked with doesn’t believe it and it is up to Chippy to help him see the true magic of Christmas

In this magical and musical story, a toy shop owner and inventor has his most prized invention stolen. His granddaughter goes on a mission to get it back and save the toy shop and her grandfather’s legacy.

35. The Christmas Chronicles
After Kate and Teddy’s dad tragically passed away, they aren’t nearly as close as they used to be. On Christmas Eve, Kate blackmails Teddy into helping her catch Santa Claus. This turns into the adventure in a lifetime that helps bring the siblings closer together again.

Two years after the events of the first movie, Kate is now a cynical teenager. She is tricked by Belsnickel into traveling to the North Pole, and is unexpectedly reunited with Santa Claus.

38. The Nutcracker and The Four Realms
If you love The Nutcracker Ballet, this film will bring the story to life. I do recommend that you watch before deciding to let your kiddos watch or not. There are some moments that could be a little scary for some kids. In “The Nutcracker and the Four Realms”, a young girl is transported to another world. As beautiful as these other realms seem to be, not everything is as it seems.
